Ferrous

Ferrous metals are iron based metals including iron, cast iron, steel, swarf (steel turnings), redundant white goods (excluding fridges and freezers) and scrap vehicles. All ferrous metals are magnetic.

Non-ferrous

Non-ferrous metals include copper, brass, lead, aluminium and stainless steel. Non-ferrous metals are not magnetic. Non-ferrous metals have a low weight, a higher conductivity, non-magnetic property or resistance to corrosion.

Buying process

Step 1Bring your metal to our site in Pontypool. One of our highly skilled scrap metal merchants will sort and grade your metals.

Step 2 After grading, your metal will be weighed.

Step 3 We will need photo I.D and proof of address so that we can accept your metal.

Step 4 After calculating the best price for your scrap metal, we will give you payment in the form of a non-transferable cheque. We will also issue you with a waste transfer notice.
