Leading the way in recycling and waste management
At GD Environmental, our commitment to reducing landfill reliance and driving sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. With a combination of technology, processes, and decades of experience, we are committed to reducing landfill reliance, driving sustainability, and managing waste to help deliver a brighter tomorrow.
Our state-of-the-art recycling facilities and advanced technologies allow us to transform waste into valuable resources, ensuring that more materials are reused and less waste ends up in landfills or incinerators.
We’ve developed expert processes across a range of materials, from metal and plastic to wood, cardboard, and aggregate. With dedicated recycling and transfer facilities in Newport and Pontypool, we segregate and process over 100,000 tonnes of waste annually. Our advanced technologies allow us to handle a variety of solid and liquid waste streams, ensuring that each material has the best chance of being recycled.

Aggregate
We process construction, demolition, and road-sweeping waste into reusable aggregates. Through crushing, screening, and washing technology, we create high-quality recycled aggregates that meet WRAP protocols and comply with EU and BS standards.

Wood

Plastic
As fully accredited plastic reprocessors, we use the latest technology to grade and sort plastic waste. The process allows us to improve plastic recycling rates by sending our recycling partners better quality material.

Cardboard
We sort and bail both commercial and domestic cardboard waste ready to be sent to a third party recycler in Wales.

Metal
We purchase and process over 30,000 tonnes of ferrous and non-ferrous metals each year. Using advanced bailing, cutting, crushing and dismantling techniques we’re able to maximise recycling rates on all metals received.

Water & Oil
Our separation plant has been purposely designed to process and separate a range of liquids including oil, water and sludge. The plant recovers substances which are then re-used and recycled.

Biological and aeration treatment
We offer full biological and anaerobic digestion of liquid wastes through our water treatment services. The process removes carbonaceous and ammonia, resulting in purified liquid which can be disposed of using fully approved methods.
